Dr. Yount devotes his practice helping you establish and maintain good oral health. The focus of our practice is health-centered, preventative dentistry. We enjoy helping people actively participate in their own health care and control the causes of dental disease. We emphasize aesthetic, adult restorative treatment designed for long term comfort, function and low maintenance.
Our staff members are devoted to making your appointments as pleasant and enjoyable as possible. We take great pride in our ability to provide you with optimal dental care designed for your unique needs and desires.
The first step toward complete oral health is thorough examination and diagnosis. We want our patients to make informed choices by fully understanding any problems. The doctor will review your dental needs with you at this appointment or at a second appointment to provide treatment consultation. We appreciate the trust you have placed in us and we will strive to provide the high quality of dental care that you expect.
James J. Yount, DDS
Dr. Yount received his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from The Ohio State University graduating Magna Cum Laude and his Bachelor of Science Degree in Medical Technology from Wright State University, Cum Laude. He is a member of the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honor Dental Society, American Dental Association, Ohio Dental Association and Dayton Dental Society. He has been practicing dentistry for over 22 years.
Dr Yount resides in Sugarcreek Township with his wife and three children. He is a sports enthusiast and enjoys live music, fishing and outdoor activities.
Kim
Office Manager
Kim has worked with Dr Yount for over 15 years. She is a Certified Dental Assistant with the Dental Assisting National Board. She has also furthered her training at Sinclair Community College and obtained her Expanded Functions Dental Auxiliary license.
Kim resides in Sugarcreek Township with her family. She enjoys spending time outdoors, reading and watching her youngest son play soccer.
Jessie
Front Office Manager
Jessie began an externship with Dr. Yount over 10 years ago after completing her dental assistant program at Fortis College. She has completed additional training in business management at Sinclair Community College.
Jessie resides in Huber Heights with her family. She enjoys nature, hiking with her fur babies and watching her daughter cheer.
Emma
Dental Assistant
Emma is a Certified Dental Assistant with the State of Ohio. She is looking forward to continuing her education at Sinclair Community College to further her career in the dental field.
Emma was born, raised and resides in Xenia with her fiance. Her hobbies include hiking with her dog, Floyd.
Dawn
Dental Hygienist
Dawn has been in the dental field for over 15 years. She received her education in dental hygiene at Indiana University School of Dentistry. Dawn joined our team after moving to the Dayton area. Dawn has three grown children.
In her spare time, Dawn enjoys walking, reading and baking!
