porcelain Veneers
Porcelain veneers are custom-made and designed to cover the front surface of teeth to improve your appearance. Porcelain veneers are bonded or cemented to the front of teeth changing their color, shape, size or length.
Composite veneers
Composite veneers are made from resin composite materials. They can change the appearance of teeth like a porcelain veneer by changing the color and sometimes the shape.
Porcelain veneers resist stains better than resin veneers and better mimic the light reflecting properties of natural teeth. You will need to discuss the best choice of veneer material for you with Dr Yount.
Bridge
A bridge replaces one or more missing teeth by “bridging” the gap created by the missing teeth. A bridge is made up of one or more crowns for the teeth on each side of the gap. These anchoring teeth are called abutments and they are connected to a false tooth, called a pontic. A bridge is permanently fixed with dental cement and does not come in and out of the mouth. Bridge materials, like crowns, are a combination porcelain and alloys.
Single Crown
A crown is a tooth shaped “cap” that is placed over a weakened tooth. A crown will restore a tooth to its natural shape, size and strength. A crown, when cemented into place fully, encases the visible portion of the tooth that lies above the gumline. Crowns are made from alloys, porcelain or a combination of these materials.
composite
A composite filling is a tooth-colored resin and glass mixture used to restore fractured or decayed teeth. Composites are also used for cosmetic improvements of your smile by changing the color of the teeth or reshaping disfigured teeth.
